Historical Society Announces New Web Site

The Cumberland County Historical and Genealogical Society has announced the release of it’s new web site.  The  on-line address is http://www.greenupdepot.org. The web site marks the debut of the Historical Society on the world wide web.

Greenup Depot.org is registered on the internet and is housed at www.rr1.net.  The site provides information related the recently renovated Greenup Depot, the historical and genealogical arms of the Johnson Building, a virtual tour, links to various sites and attractions surrounding Greenup and the National Road, up-to-date press releases, depot history, with e-mail, and contact information. The web site will maintain current, up-to-date changes related to the work of the Historic Society. Roger Anderson designed the site and will serve as the web master.

The Cumberland County Historic and Genealogical Society meets at 7:00 PM on the first Thursday of each month at the Historic Johnson Building.  The meetings are fun and informative. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. Ernestine Robey is the President.
